Welcome to Cohort. By creating an account or using the community, you agree to these terms. They’re written to keep Cohort a genuinely useful, respectful place for Boston University students.

Independence

Cohort is an independent, student-led community. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Boston University or any other institution. Course names and school references are used only to organize content, not to imply any official connection.

Who can join

Cohort is for Boston University students. You must sign in with a valid @bu.edu Google account. You’re responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity that happens under it.

Community conduct

To keep Cohort a place people trust, don’t:

• Harass, threaten, or demean other members.
• Post content you don’t have the right to share, or that infringes someone else’s copyright.
• Spam, scam, impersonate, or disrupt the community.

You’re responsible for making sure your own use of Cohort follows your school’s and instructors’ policies.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Cohort a license to display and distribute that content within the community so the service can function. You’re responsible for what you share.

Resources & outcomes

Cohort is a supplement to your coursework, not a substitute, and we don’t guarantee any grade or academic outcome. We may add, moderate, or remove resources at our discretion.

Our discretion

Cohort is run at our discretion. We may change, add, or remove features, content, or access, and suspend or remove any account, at any time, with or without notice.

The service is provided “as is”

Cohort is offered without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the community.

Changes

We may update these terms as Cohort evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
